Connect with your baby and find your community
The Circle’s Intention
The intention of the circle is to hold space for expectant parents to gather in community and connect with their pregnancy and their baby, receive support in preparation for labour and birth and set intentions for their journey of becoming a parent. What You’ll Experience: Each week’s class will include sharing, movement, a mindfulness exercise, discussion of the week’s topic and the completion of an artistic or creative activity together. Weeks 1 and 2: Anticipating The first two weeks we will focus on the incredible journey of pregnancy and discuss healthy practices to nourish our changing bodies and our growing babies. Weeks 3 and 4: Welcoming The third and fourth week we will talk about labour and birth intentions, participate in exercises to support our physical and emotional preparation and discuss strategies for navigating this transformative experience. Weeks 5 and 6: Meeting Your Baby Earthside The fifth and sixth week we will prepare for meeting our babies and the postpartum period. We will share supportive resources, discuss practical tips while also taking time to reflect on what it means for us as individuals to bring a new baby into the world. You are encouraged to invite your partner or support person to class 2, 4 and 6 for opportunities for shared activities and discussions. |
"I was so excited to find this pregnancy course — it was exactly what I was looking for. The course offered a chance to join other pregnant women and to feel part of a community. The instructor provided a warmth and comfort that made coming each week a highlight in my pregnancy. I learned so much including pain management, writing out birth affirmations and the physiology behind our changing bodies. We also got to express our emotions through art which was also a highlight — this was important to be able to express and process my fears and thoughts in a different way other than speaking them aloud. I would encourage anyone who is pregnant to seek this course out for those who want to meet other women or simply just to learn about the powerful and wonderful journey our pregnant bodies are embarking on. I HIGHLY recommend this Pregnancy Circle to all!"

FAQ:
1. Who can join this program?
Expectant parents at any stage of pregnancy are welcome. Partners or support persons are encouraged to attend designated sessions.
2. What should I bring?
Comfortable clothing and a journal for reflections.
3. Is this the same as a child birth education class?
No. Although we do cover information about the physiology of pregnancy and labour, this is a holistic approach to a prenatal class as we also focus a great deal on the emotional preparation of pregnancy and birth, connecting with others and reflecting on our own personal experiences. This would be a great addition to a regular child birth education class.
Our Pregnancy Circle offers a holistic approach including emotional preparation of pregnancy and birth, connecting with other parents and reflecting on our own personal experiences. Our program would complement a childbirth education class.
4. How do I register?

Holly has recently completed the Holistic Doula training with The Matrona Institute. When not working at Mulberry, Holly spends time with her toddler on their farm tending to their chickens, working in the garden, crafting and going on outdoor adventures with family and friends. |
