Grades 6-8
Grade 6 marks the beginning of puberty and great physical, emotional and intellectual changes in children. At this stage, students are undergoing an exciting period of learning more about themselves and how they relate to the world. The Waldorf curriculum meets students’ needs in the form of lessons they can connect with emotionally and are aligned with their development stage. Lessons also become wider in breadth and greater in-depth to satisfy students’ greater capacity to learn and ability to sort through information. Teachers help support the social-emotional well-being of students as they grow and begin to ready for high school. Students become well-prepared for this transition and feel confident in their knowledge and abilities for future challenges.
