Parent & Child Group (for ages one through three)
Mondays through Fridays from 9:30-11:30am

Join us one morning a week in a beautiful setting which encourages free, creative play with toys made of natural materials. Enjoy a nutritious, homemade snack, learn to craft simple toys for your child, and discuss a healthy start for your family. Our morning ends with a circle of songs, rhymes, stories, and the opportunity to play in a natural outdoor space.
The day begins between 9:30am and 10:30am when children arrive and there's time for free play for the children, a craft or work experience for parents, or a small 'quieting story', if necessary. At 10:30am, there is a lovely song-led transition with "We are Sturdy Little Gnomes" to tidy-up and guide us into snack time and our "Blessings on the Blossoms" song. This time is a great opportunity for parents to chat.
Around 11:00am, we tidy-up the table and gather for circle time. The circle includes rhymes and songs both standing (walking, hopping, twirling, etc.) and sitting (finger games, clapping, etc.). The songs are seasonal with home and garden themes - there is continuity each week and new ones are added regularly. Shortly after, we share a simple story. The story is seasonal with a home and garden theme, often based on a timeless folktale. The story is told for 3-4 weeks.
At 11:20am, we have our last tidy and sing "We'll Dance with the Flowers" song before playing outside and saying goodbye.
